What’s New February 3rd
Hello!! It has been a full week of learning! Since Groundhog’s day was on Sunday, we have been learning all about Phil and why we celebrate Groundhog’s day today! We also found out that we we will have an early spring this year!! How exciting.
We have also been reviewing our sight words, words their way sorts, going over tens and one with math as well as identifying coins and time, and so much more.
On Friday, we will be going over sight words and having our whole day themed around that! It is a great way to learn them!
Please see the information below to see what is coming up!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we are planning a celebration of our friendships!!
Friday, Feb. 14, 2020
8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Please plan on sending enough candy-free Valentine’s with your child that day for 23 students.
You do not need to send invitations with student names on them—instead just have your child write who it is from on each card.
Here is the link for our special day! If you are interested in helping out with the activities, please sign up to do so:) We would love to have you.
Along with our Valentines Day Celebration…
We would love to have you and your child make a mailbox to receive their valentines in! Please look at the letter below. I will be sending a hard copy home soon:)
It’s FIELD TRIP TIME!! We will be going to the Phoenix Children’s Museum of Phoenix! This place is so much fun and the kids really enjoy it! In your child’s folder, a permission slip was sent home. If you are in need of another one, please let me know.
Excitedly, we have all of our chaperones for the field trip! Please do not fill in the chaperone slot on the back of the permission slip.
Official chaperones must pay too in addition to the fee for your child. Everyone else who was not selected as a chaperone is welcome to meet us down at the museum.
The permission slips for the field trip are due back ASAP.
Neal was our star student this past week and it was so fun celebrating him!! We found out some really cool things about him. His favorite food is hot dogs, he loves the color green and his favorite song is Heroes on the Way! He also got to bring in his Buzz Light year action figure for his show and tell as well as his grandparents coming in for his special guest. The did magic!! How cool was that to see:)
